Finger-painted oil paintings

About the Artwork

These abstracts are finger-painted with oils, incorporating the sgraffito technique—scratching wet paint with a tool to create beautiful patterns. Brushes are kept to a minimum, used only when needed for minute details; otherwise, the work is predominantly finger-painted.

Mixed media artwork

about these paintings

Some of my mixed media paintings predominantly use watercolor and draw inspiration from Madhubani art, a traditional Indian folk art form with roots spanning over 2,500 years across India and Nepal. Known for its vibrant natural colors, intricate geometric patterns, and distinctive double-line figures, this art form captivates me. Watercolor offers me a refreshing escape from oil painting work. Creating in this medium reconnects me with my childhood and the early days when I first discovered this beautiful craft.
